For this post, I am going to go through the designs I did for Elfir, a gun. Each gun is designed differently to suit different bosses. All of it are meant to be the same gun, hence, the same base design. However, the design is supposed to change accordingly to each bosses, while retaining the base design. Ishira:

For this design, it is meant to suit Ishira, somewhat like a dark knight. Since it is somewhat like a dark knight, I used black as a base. I added red for a good contrast and to make it seem more dangerous. The gold and white was meant to also be a contrast and since it is going to be wielded by the player who is supposed to be a good guy, I added the gold and white to express it being heroic, balance out the red and to give a positive vibe. The gun is a rifle and I added some designs on top of the rifle base and some spikes. Zoltran:

For this design, it is meant to suit a shadow wolf. I added purple for the mystical look and since the shadow wolf's attack involves shadow and since it is a shadow wolf, I used grey as the base colour. However I used purple-grey colour instead of just a normal warm or cool grey and it is also so that it would match the purple designs on the gun. The gold is meant to provide a good contrast from the other colours and also to give a heroic vibe.
Enmar:

For this design, it is meant for a golem. With the colours commonly used for a golem in mind, I added those colours into the design. Since it is golem, made out of rocks, I avoided bright and loud colours and instead used dull colours. In addition, I have also added some moss design so that the design would be closer to a golem. Overall, it gave an ancient feel due to the dull colours, the moss and the gold colour, which I was aiming for. Default: Ver 1:

Ver 2:

For this design, it is meant to be a default design for the player at the start of the game. Version one was chosen in the end and hence, it became the finalised design for the default gun. This gun is meant to be ancient, thus, I used colours that were on the duller side. Gold not only gives a heroic vibe but also since it is dull, it made the design seem more ancient. The gun is meant to be alive and so, despite it being ancient it can also be modern since it was activated in a more modern time. In order to express that, I added cleaner, bright colours such as white and I have also added some intricate designs to express the ancient side and armors and screws to express the modern side.
