Ying Tong

Kok Ying Tong is an aspiring character design artist from Singapore Polytechnic. She has many ideas when it comes to character design and is able to change the designs according to feedbacks and requirements.

Since young, she always had an interest in drawing and she would doodle so often and she remembered thinking that she wanted to be an artist. Back then, she was exposed to many animated shows and games.

It was at secondary school that Ying Tong decided to pursue what she likes, which led her to this Digital Animation course. Being able to showcase one’s designs and see it grow and eventually come to life in the virtual realm is exceptional. Ying Tong have always liked animations that had a good lesson behind it and it would be great to be able to produce or be part of such an animation; an animation which encourages and teaches children what is right.

There will always be someone better so always be humble and constantly practice and improve. Never be satisfied with where one is currently at. There will always be obstacles but with the people around being so supportive and helpful, it really gives much needed encouragement and confidence.
